Get 2025 off to a warming start with our Sunray Shawl Knit-Along. This beautiful design by Jule Kebelmann shows off the supremely soft Skadi Merino d'Arles yarn from Hey Mama Wolf. It's buttery soft, possibly the softest merino I've ever squished!
The kit includes yarn and a digital download pattern.
Kits ordered by Tuesday 14 January will be posted in time to be delivered before the start-date of 18 January 2025.
Design Inspiration This shawl is a big and tender hug. The simple garter and tuck stitch pattern resembles the sunrays and spread the warmth over your shoulders.
Song Sunray, The Jesus and Mary Chain
Construction The shawl is worked top down, starting at the center. It begins with a few stitches and gradually expands until all the yarn is used up. The shawl is worked for a few rows in seed stitch and then goes over into garter stitch with tucked stitches in between. This creates a pattern that folds in itself like a leporello.
