This beautiful, bouncy British Bluefaced Leicester wool is hand-dyed by Riverknits in their studio.
A 4-ply weight non-superwash wool that takes the dye beautifully and is so squishy and soft in the skein! If you are looking for a nylon-free sock yarn, this yarn is well worth consideration. It's high twist makes it hard-wearing and, whilst your socks may need darning sooner than ones made in a sock yarn with nylon content, with good care they will last well. I would recommend a good tight gauge for your socks.
Bluefaced Leicester is our softest native breed of sheep and is perfect for projects that will be worn next to the skin.
